All programs follow a structured curriculum aligned with classical Kathak tradition. Students progress at their own pace with regular individual feedback.
Aaradhy offers a comprehensive 7 years Government recognized degree course — one of the most structured and complete curricula in Vadodara. Each year builds progressively on the last, taking students from their very first steps all the way to full artistic mastery and stage performance.
Introduction to stance, basic tatkar (footwork), simple hand positions, understanding taal (rhythm), and the cultural context of Kathak. Building correct posture and body awareness.
Classical hand gestures (mudras), basic compositions (tukda and toda), introduction to ghungroo, simple taal cycles (teentaal), and first stage appearance preparation.
Complex tatkar patterns, introduction to abhinaya (facial expression and storytelling), layakari (rhythmic variations), and more elaborate taal cycles. First solo compositions.
Deeper abhinaya work including thumri and bhajan interpretation, chakkar (spinning) sequences, tatkaar in multiple speeds, and group choreography for performances.
Full stage performance preparation, complex multi-speed compositions, advanced layakari, gat-bhav (expressive narrative sequences), and semi-classical forms.
Advanced chakkar sequences, intricate taal cycles (jhaptaal, ektaal, rupak), classical compositions from the Lucknow and Jaipur gharanas, and individual artistic identity development.
Solo recital performance, full classical programme, advanced bhav and nuance, independent choreography, and preparation for public and competitive performances. Certificate of completion awarded.

For students who have completed the foundation and are ready to explore greater depth. This level introduces layakari, abhinaya, and multi-speed compositions, bringing technique and expressiveness to a new level of artistry.
